When we toured HOME they mentioned that they host festivals, so I decided to do some research into these to see what they meant by this and whether it may be something that we can add to our project.
I began by looking at their events page on their website, to see if they had anything on there that's coming up soon. They only had the shows and performances that are coming up soon.
Then I looked at their festival page off their website, they had two of their upcoming festivals for 2020. These were the 'push festival 2020' and the 'viva! Spanish & Latin American festival 2020'.
This is what it said on the 'Push festival' page:

"Push Festival 2020
Push Festival returns for our annual celebration of the North West’s creative talents. Over two weeks, our stages, screens and spaces will be dedicated to showcasing fantastic works from around the region, as well as offering opportunities for creatives to meet industry professionals, share ideas and inspiration and develop their skills.
This year’s programme includes twelve theatre shows across both our theatre spaces, including two home commissions in Plaster Cast Theatre’s Sound Cistem and Tania Camara’s Oreo. We also celebrate the launch of our book collaboration with HOME Artists-in-Residence Young Identity and welcome back Box of Tricks’ PlayBox Takeover, showcasing their up-and-coming new writers.
In our cinemas we have three film showcases, including the return of artist film showcase Spit That Out, with a programme that includes HOME commission I, Dismantled.
Our galleries are more buzzing than ever for this year’s festival, as we launch our first ever Manchester Open exhibition as well as showcasing artists in our Granada Foundation and HOMEInspires galleries.
As ever there’s a packed line-up of events to give creatives a helping hand, covering everything from audio stories to virtual reality technology, as well the #GMLGBTCAN Conference for LGBTQ+ artists.
And finally, don’t forget that with Push Festival, the more you book, the more you save!
With thanks to The Edwin Fox Foundation."
I think it would be really cool to create a festival as part of our project, that would show and exhibit our work for people.
